FEATURED PROJECTS
Showcase of Work

This was one of my most ambitious projects where I designed and built an automated seawater tester that can be deployed as a buoy in remote areas. The unit is capable of highly accurate and frequent tests allowing up to 12 different parameters to be tracked simultaneously. For more information see my video on the home page, the photo gallery, or the corresponding research paper.

Over the summer of 2023 I worked in Spain with helicopter company Alpha Unmanned Systems where I did several projects. My final one was to design, manufacture, and test a pulley driven turbine fan to help cool the internal components of the aircraft to increase performance.

Over my school's spring break I decided to build a zipline. This project though simple was deceptively challenging due to its remote location and necessary installation of a 30 foot utility post capable of withstanding the force of a 200' zipline. Furthermore the site had to be graded using a bulldozer to allow a proper slope.

I am currently working on designing and building a Deepsea camera rig capable of max ocean depth. The device utilizes several novel ideas to achieve a small and low cost Deepsea exploration platform. The oil based lens design and tether-less operation allows for its many unique attributes poising it to be a disruptive device in ocean exploration.

Here is an example ranch project I recently completed where I had to build a an outdoor shelter to house the ducks on our family ranch. I had to go through the process of designing and constructing the structure with concerns for the high winds in the area and drainage concerns. During the project I was challenged with many construction problems which I was able to overcome and make a solid structure that will function for years to come.
